Hayley Orantia is an American singer, actress and performer. A lot of people recognize her from her role as Erica Goldberg on the popular comedy television series The Goldbergs.' However, she's primarily a music lover. Music is her first love, she claims; it's something she has dabbled in since she was only 9 years old. At the age 12 she was taking serious enough about music to start studying professionally. She began songwriting when she was 13 and was 14 when she made her first collection of cover songs. The music hasn't budged to the past ever since. Orrantia is a native American with Hispanic roots. Even though she spoke only English throughout her childhood and never been to Mexico Orrantia feels extremely proud of her Hispanic background. By learning Spanish and composing songs, she is trying to keep the culture alive. One of her efforts was an original Spanish song titled 'Hasta Verte..' Orrantia auditioned for The X Factor in 2011. Orrantia was awarded four "yeses" from the judges in the Seattle live audition stage following getting selected based on her YouTube submission. Although she originally auditioned in a single performance at "Hollywood Week", she and three other female singers, were placed in an ensemble for the remainder in the selection process. They were eliminated from the show during the fifth live week.
