Pickler, who was born Kellie Dawn Pickler in June of 1986, experienced an extremely difficult childhood. She was abandoned by her mother when she was just two years old to avoid the abuse of her partner. Pickler returned to the mother she had left in 1995 after she assumed custody. It was, however, not a good encounter. Her grandparents took care of Pickler from age 12 up to the age of adulthood. Pickler was busy with raising her younger siblings in the absence of her parents. She said that because she was not able to devote time to studying, she began learning how to cook and clean from a very early time.
